Melitis Kwong was born in Hong Kong and has lived most of her life in Canada and the US. She is a California state-certificated acupuncturist and massage practitioner. Melitis has studied and practiced under the guidance of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche since 1985. She completed a 3-year retreat in Dordogne, France, and was manager at the Sea to Sky Retreat Centre in Canada for 6 years. Melitis served as a visiting faculty and program coordinator at Deer Park institute in Bir, India, for 5 years. Recently she has resided mainly in Canada where she assists practitioners on the path globally.
English is her main medium in communication. she speaks Cantonese fluently and 80% in Mandarin. She can read Chinese but her writing in Chinese is rather poor. Students are welcome to write to her in Chinese or English but she will need to reply in English.
