BIO

I was born in Sydney and was attracted to Buddhism since my teenage years. I attended my first teaching in 1991 and took refuge vows in 1993, the same year I first attended teachings with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in Sydney.

After completing a fine arts degree in Australia, I moved to Nepal in 1998 to study thangka painting at the Tsering Art School, which immediately felt like home. I was honored to work for the art school for several years alongside my teacher and friend, the late Konchog Lhadrepa (1955-2025).

In 2005 I joined the first three-year retreat in Australia under Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s guidance. Since then, I’ve volunteered for Siddhartha’s Intent Australia in various ways. I have a special interest in developing my understanding of ritual and shrine master practice, and have helped in small ways with practices in Sydney, online and during larger events.

I currently live in Australia and try to visit Nepal each year.
